Even though LEPH2021 will now be delivered as a virtual conference, it will continue to be convened by five universities from Philadelphia.

The LEPH conference series aims to connect delegates from all over the world and showcases research and practice from the global North and South. Importantly though, the issues and context of the host city, in this case Philadephia, will be a central focus and provide a lens to examine LEPH issues.

The good news is that instead of waiting until March 2021 to visit Philadelphia, you can do it today! Tune into the Visit Philadephia’s Stay-At-Home Livestream Series and with Philly Live Weekends, and you can virtually support and enjoy the best of Philadelphia every weekend.

Inspired by Philly Live, a weekday NBC10 feature that’s on temporary hiatus because of COVID-19, Philly Live Weekends streams live on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays on Visit Philadelphia’s Facebook as well as NBC10’s Facebook platforms.

Hopeful, informative and fun, Philly Live Weekends offers real-life inspiration while connecting the community virtually during a time when people are disconnected physically.

Themes include Pantry Parties, at-home cooking demos by notable chefs; singalongs with popular performers; behind-the-scenes animal meet-and-greets; concerts from esteemed musicians and more. In addition, the livestreams allow viewers to interact with the talent on-screen, in real-time.

Philly Live Weekends also encourages viewers to donate to the PHL COVID-19 Fund, a regional grants program serving at-risk populations.
